LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija – The body of a man found dumped at the public
cemetery here recently had been positively identified by a woman, who claimed
she was “bothered by her conscience.”
She
tagged her live-in -partner as the man’s killer.
Intense
grilling by police investigators of the woman-witness resulted in the solution
of the gruesome killing of Christopher Paraiso Dagodog, a native of Barnagay
Oringao, Kabangkan, Negros Occidental, who was found dumped on Monday morning
at the public cemetery in Barangay Rizal here.
Maria
Cristina Elvambuena Mariano alias “Tina,” of Barangay Rizal, this town, pointed
to her live-in-partner, Teodorico Ayunan Maniquiz alias “Jojo” of Riles,
Barangay Mallorca, this town, as responsible for Dagodog’s death.
She
said Maniquiz found out about her affair with the victim, and in a fit of
jealous rage killed the latter, hitting him on the head with a blunt object.
Maniquiz,
who is said to be working as an electrician at Hanjin Shipping Company in
Subic, Zambales, is now the object of a regionwide manhunt operation.
