Scholarship for doctors now open to Bulakenyo students
CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of
Bulacan (PGB) has initiated the PGB Medical Scholarship Program to push for the
realization of dream among students who aspire to become medical practitioners
in the future.
According to Provincial Administrator Perlita Mendoza, PGB Medical Scholarship
Program will assist deserving pre-medicine Bulakenyo graduates in fulfilling
their dreams to become full-pledged doctors and be in the forefront of medical
practice in the province.
She said to qualify for the said opportunity, applicants must be bona fide
citizens of Bulacan and must have finished a pre-medicine course like Bachelor
of Science in Biology, Pharmacy, Medical Technology, among others. Mendoza added that
the applicant or any of his relatives also must not be an existing scholar of
PGB or any government and private organizations.
PGB will send five qualified applicants to any of the country’s most respected
medical schools like University of Santo Tomas, Filemon Tanchoco Sr. Medical Foundation
of Manila Central University, Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation of Far
Eastern University, Our Lady of Fatima University and the University of the Philippines.
A scholarship grant plus allowance for books, uniform, transportation and other
miscellaneous expenses of almost P1.5 million per year will be allotted for all
of the five deserving applicants.
Upon graduation, PGB will also shoulder the applicants’ Licensure Review and
Licensure Examination Fee.
With all of these in store for the applicants, the provincial government encourages
interesting students to grab this chance to achieve their dream.
Interested applicants may apply at the Provincial Administrator’s
Office-Barangay Governance and Special Projects Division starting on March 1 to
31 and must submit their fully accomplished forms on or before April 12.
