GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija – The
police here have arrested over the weekend a gasoline boy that led to the
confiscation of a whopping 82.46 grams of dried marijuana leaves and fruiting
tops in cake form.
The police report tagged the
suspect as responsible in the proliferation of illegal drugs preferably
marijuana in this town, mostly to high school students and out-of-school youth.
Supt. Edgar Alan O. Okubo, chief
of the Provincial Public Safety and Management Company (PPSMC) here, identified
the suspect as Jaylord Cabalar dela Cruz, 26, married, a gasoline boy from Barangay
Bacayao, this town.
A case for violation of Section 11
of Republic Act 9165 has been filed against the suspect before the Provincial
Prosecutors’ Office here.
In Okubo’s report to Nueva Ecija
Police Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Ricardo C. Marquez, he stated that the
suspect was “responsible in the proliferation of illegal drugs preferably
marijuana” in this town.
PPSMC operatives led by SPO3 Lauro
A. Puno conducted a buy-bust operation at 4:10 am Sunday in the residence of
the suspect at Barangay Sta. Veronica. Seized from the suspect was one
cube compressed dried marijuana leaves and fruiting tops wrapped in banana
leaves and newspaper weighing 78.60 grams, and another 3.86 grams,
totaling 82.46 grams.
The inventoried items were
witnessed by barangay officials of Sta. Veronica, media representative Lea Mae
S. Aduptante of Radyo Guimba, and Provincial Prosecutor Eddie C. Gutierrez.
